Magaly Cordero

Magaly Cordero, soprano, is enjoying a blossoming career in the Midwest.  She has performed the role of Princess Zara in the Savoyaire's production of Utopia Limited. Magaly was also a Young Artist with the Cedar Rapids Opera Theater where she performed the role of Rapunzel in Into the Woods  as well as covered the role of the Queen of the Night in Mozart's The Magic Flute. She has sung with Chicago's South Shore Opera Company,  Evanston's Light Opera Works and Wisconsin's Music By the Lake festival. Other performance highlights include La Musica in Monteverdi's L'Orfeo and Feu/Princesse/Rossignol in Ravel’s L’enfant et les Sortilèges

Magaly is a native of Orlando, FL. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and her Master’s degree from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts. Magaly is a performing member of Milwaukee’s MacDowell Club and she is a student of  Sunny Joy Langton.
